What a summer it has been already! It was kicked off with our annual Pierre family trip to the Outerbanks, NC. All 17 kids and 13 adults stay in one big beach house. Chaotic? Yes.... Fun? You bet! By the time we got home, I admit I was ultra tired and ready for another vacation. Violet enjoyed the beach, but it was a lot more work this year as she is very mobile and we were chasing her everywhere.
Violet continues to grow and change with each passing day. These days, she is into everything, and when I say everything, I do mean everything. There are no sacred places in our home anymore. Do you have a drawer or cabinet that needs to be emptied? Violet's your girl! A laundry basket you'd like unfolded and thrown around the room? Violet again! Any food you're just dying to see smeared into the couch or crunched on the floor? Yep, you guessed it! I certainly love her curious and adventurous nature, but being 28 weeks pregnant, working full time, and keeping up with her is a real task!
Speaking of, all is well with my pregnancy and we are amazed at how fast it's all going! It won't be long until we have another little darling to care for and love. So thankful that we are already a girl household and we really don't have to purchase anything new equipment-wise or clothes-wise! This one being a girl really is quite a money saver! :) We can't wait to meet her and are already praying that Violet adjusts well.
Violet's 18 month checkup went great! Doctor is happy with her growth, even though she doesn't eat a whole lot. I am so thankful for a healthy little princess. She is talking so much and says about 25 words. The pediatrician told me that average for an 18 month old is 10 words, so perhaps we have a chatty cathy on our hands? Time will tell!
