I try to get out every other week to run errands with her on a Saturday so she will get used to being good while out. She does well, sometimes in the stroller, sometimes in the Ergo or Balboa. We always get lots of comments when we're out, mostly "what a beautiful baby!" and "she's so alert!" and "look at those big eyes!" She has only been mistaken for a boy once, and she was in the ergo chewing on a blue toy. I usually try to have a bow on her when we are out so there is no confusion :)
We celebrated Mother's day together and apparently no one gave Violet the memo that it was a special day, because she was super fussy all day! Such is life, right?
